| Letters From Our Troops |
The below "thank you" letter (retyped, for your ease in reading) was received from the Soldiers of the B Co., 7-101 159 CAB. We sent We Care packages to everyone in their unit.
“Dear Ms. Cornell, Ms. Josephson, and “For the Troops” volunteers,
We have received your many care packages and would like to thank you for your kindness, recognition, and wonderful goodies! Knowing that what we do is appreciated by Americans gives us a sense of pride, and makes a great impact on our everyday lives, so please know that by showing you care, it does a world of good for all of us here.
Also, for some inexplicable reason receiving any type of mail is always something to look forward to (especially mail of the candy variety!) For those soldiers with little or no family, the care packages you send are doubly appreciated. It feels good to know that you aren’t forgotten.
We would like to compliment you on your expert packing abilities as well. Each package is like a tiny Christmas with a side of Mary Poppin’s purse, and we’re all amazed by the fact that not a single inch of space is unused! We would also like to compliment you on the items included. You’ve somehow managed to cover all basis and we are extremely impressed. Especially since each package has both candy and dental care products (obviously someone thought ahead!)
In short, all of us with B Co 7101 would like to sincerely thank you once again. Your efforts are very much appreciated and have helped to brighten our days.
Sincerely,
The soldiers of Varsity Flight Company, B Co., 7101, 159 CAB
P.S. Enclosed is a picture of our recent incident. We have decided to call it a “Bobcat Attack”…”
